| Attorney Profile Vincent Chong is a graduate with honours from University of Malaya. He began his legal practice in the Intellectual Property Department of Messrs. Raja, Darryl & Loh, during which time he was involved in a variety of intellectual property matters both contentious and otherwise. He left legal practice briefly to join the Public Performance Malaysia and later, the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia as its Legal Counsel but returned to legal practice to seek bigger challenges. He joined the firm of Hazman Tan before setting up his own firm, VS Chong. He represents the Business Software Alliance and gives seminars on software asset management. Wendy Lam is a graduate with honours from University of Malaya. She has had the privilege to undergo her pupillage under Mr. Hariram Jayaram, a pioneer in IP law in Malaysia. She was, later employed as a legal assistant in his firm, Ram Rais & Partners before she was made a litigation partner in 1999. She is also a contributor to the Halsbury's Laws of Malaysia for the topic on patents. She is currently the Honourary Vice President of the Licensing Executives Society of Malaysia, the local chapter of the Licensing Executives Society International. She is also a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and Malaysian Intellectual Property Association. She has also presented papers on intellectual property law both locally and internationally. Anniza Jamaluddin
is a graduate with honours from National University of Malaysia (UKM).
She also holds a Diploma in Syariah Legal Practice. Prior to joining
V Chong W Lam, Anniza has worked in a specialist intellectual property
law firm as an associate. Her recent experience includes representing
and advising a large number of local and international clients on
all aspects of intellectual property law, including computer software
and domain names and overseeing large local and international trade
mark portfolios. She is currently the acting Secretary of LES Malaysia
and a member of the Muslim Lawyers Guild. |
